I'll start this off just by letting you know that all of the following information is made by my personal opinion. I am a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan, and I have been for a very long time now. Some of their songs have a good feeling and vibe to them. My favorite guitarist is in this band, whose name is Brian Haner Jr aka " Synyster Gates". To me he is the best guitarist out there and I, being a guitarist myself, try to follow on some of his techniques and footsteps. He is dominates the jazz guitar technique that allows him to actually improvise on the spot. There has been many comparisons between him and many other fast shredders out there, but to me he always comes out on top. One of his most impressive skills is being able to play at an insane amount of speed and still sound clean over all the distortion added to his guitar. This is just my favorite guitarist, but I would like to know about yours, also I would like to let you guys know that I also enjoy and actually try to learn from many other guitarists out there, and I also acknowledge their accomplishments and skills on the guitar.
